I can reiterate that TERADATA is not intended to support OLTP type applications. However people want to use it , that is a different story. I have worked on numerous DW projects with different database engines -ORACLE, SYBASE SQL server, SYBASE IQ Server and TERADATA is outperforming everybody by far.
