Hi, As DECIMAL(18) is the limit in Teradata for DECIMAL data type, what could be the ideal solution in case when the column might have values greater than 18. We have columns defined as DECIMAL(21,0) in the source system, but same cannot be implemented in Teradata. Is FLOAT is the right choice in that case? What are the issues associated with FLOAT? I've heard that FLOAT is not recommended as it might result in some incorrect results during arithmetic calculations. Have anybody come across any issues with FLOAT data type? Please help. Thanks Rishi
