Subj:   Re: History treatment Using Upsert Logic

From:   Victor Sokovin

Is there a way in the Multiload Upsert operation that if a record is marked for update, that particular record should be closed (basically update the end_Date) and the corresponding update row to be inserted as a new record.

Of course, not. ML is a generic tool, it should not be overloaded with application specific details.

The logic you are looking for is usually implemented on the ETL layer, of which ML might only be a small part.

Regards,

Victor
