Subj:   How to stop Roll Back with out making table Invalid.

From:   Matkar, Ankit

Hi,

Last week we aborted a delete operation on our Fact table and the table went in rollback state . the rollback operation continued for around 36 hours and then we logged in to the node and aborted the rollback session. This made the table invalid and of no use to us. I know that had I used the delete all operation the rollback wouldn't have happened at all. But I was just curious to know if there is any way I can stop a normal delete operation and then kill the rollback with out invalidating the table.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks and Regards
