Boris, You can load data from excel directly using Teradata OLE_load tool. Simply save the .xls file and the start the ole_load tool. Select the odbc interface for the source and select 'use connection string' to build a connection to an excel file. Then define NCR Teradata as the destination. The tool will open the file and display the sheets in the workbook as different folders. Select the sheet you want to load. Then on the right the tool will display the columns in the sheet. Select the columns in the sheet that you want to load. It may ask you to rename some of them to Teradata acceptable names. Select the Launch button and it will ask which utility to load to Teradata with, the options are Fastload, Bteq, Multiload Select which ever one you want. Check the script is generates, then run it. OLE_load will handle all the communications and show you the results. It will also create the target table by default. I have found it is usually best to let it create a table and load to it, and then do an INSERT/SELECT into you final target table. Good Luck Ed Ray
