I'm trying to analyze a query and the EXPLAIN is very long (1895 lines, 274 steps). I'd like to utilize Visual Explain to try and get a better
handle on the query so I can try and work out a way to increase the performance of the query. However, I don't have access to QCF (my username
doesn't have access to select/insert from/to the tables). Is there a way to use Teradata Visual Explain without access to QCF? I've gone through
the documentation but can't see a way to do it, but the tool has alot of options, so I wasn't certain if I missed something.
Barring that, what do people do to analyze explain plans other than just digging through the plan (which looks like it could take forever
considering the length of the plan)?
