When I connect to teradata using DBI::ODBC in perl on MP-RAS it is very slow to connect - over 30 seconds.
Connecting via BTEQ is near instant.
Connecting via ODBC from my PC using SQL-Assistant is near instant too.
Any ideas as to why the perl library would be so slow to connect and are suggestions as to how to improve it?
