My guess would be that the answers to all these questions are negative.
You could search for a recent thread on "ODBC joining" of databases supplied by different vendors via yet another database. For example, in
Access, link Oracle and Teradata sources. The method has obviously a lot of limitations but could serve well as a quick (not in terms of
performance) workaround for an ad hoc task. I am not sure it will work in your context (cubes, drilling, etc) but if everything else fails why not
give it a try?
