What is the data type of the column you are storing it in?

I inserted '=E2=E4=E0=E5=E7=EA=EB=E8' into a column defined as

     CHAR(10) CHARACTER SET LATIN

and was able to retreive it with no problem.

I inserted it via SQL Assistant 7.0 however - not a mainframe - but that should not matter.

I retreived it via both SQL Assistant 7.0 and Teradata Administrator 7.0 into an answer set which used the Ariel font. (Wasnt sure which app you meant by 'SQL Admin')
