Subj:   CLI error 126: Specified driver could not be loaded due to system error

From:   Gutierrez, Fred I

ERROR: CLI error trying to establish connection: Specified driver could not be loaded due to system error 126 (Teradata).

i am receiving this error whenever i try to connect to a Teradata database. i get this error whenever i try to connect via Queryman (SQL assistant 6.1) or PC SAS (Proc SQL statement).

However, if i try connecting via MSI (Microstrategy Desktop 7.5.1 - front-end tool) or GQL (Hummingbird BI/Query - front-end tool), then i have no problems.

this doesn't quite make sense to me because it would appear to me that all 4 applications are using the same driver, but the latter 2 applications obviously are doing something different. the DBA had said that i might need to reinstall Queryman version 7.x. it will take about 2 weeks before the help desk can install this application.

any suggestions why i am getting this error?

i have used all of the applications for the last 2 years without any problems. we had some serious system-wide connectivity issues last week, and i am wondering if they made changes that would invalidate my use of SQL Assistant (Queryman).
