We are running into the 3710 error (error stating that the Optimizer phase has insufficient memory to parse the request) and when reading the Teradata documentation it suggest changing the values of the MaxParseTreeSegs & OptMaxGlobalJI.

1. It doesn't really specify what I should set these to or how high I should set these.

2. What are the ramifications of setting these? Is there a point in which I will do more harm than good?

If there is anyone out there that have dealt with these parameters I would like to hear your input.
