Subj:   ResUsageSvpr - msgworkqlenmax & msgworkqlensum

From:   Mirjam Berger

A-Team,

I'm trying to find out why the DBC.ResUsageSvpr.msgworkqlensum value would be 0 when the DBC.ResUsageSvpr.msgworkqlenMax value is > 0.

The manual states:

MsgWorkQLenSum
count Total number of work requests waiting during each log interval.

MsgWorkQLenMax
track Maximum number of work requests waiting during each log interval.

(Source: Teradata RDBMS, Resource Usage Macros and Tables, 7-11)

This sounds to me as if the Sum should always be equal to or bigger than the Max.

We are running on V2R5. Is the population of this field dependent on some setting? Is this maybe a known bug?

Your help would be much appreciated!!

Thanks!

Mirjam
