We are also about to upgrade to the MP-RAS 3.03 and V2R5.1.2 and I will be curious to see what the GSC has to say.

We have typically always tried to use the following format when manipulating dates (When I say we I mean the DBA's, can't say for sure about the developers):

     Select current_date, current_date - interval '1' day;

I would be interested to see if this works for you.
