Subj:   Re: Logon file for the Fastload

From:   Victor Sokovin

I've the next one script, in the bteq I get execute en logon file (so the user and password is not into this script), and I want to do the same with the fastload, but I don't know how.

This question is often asked here. I think the common opinion at the moment is that FastLoad is different from all the other utilities in the sense that it does not allow you to RUN logon scripts.

However, you seem to be generating your script on the fly so you could source the user name and the password from wherever you prefer to store them, i.e., a separate file or shell environment variables, etc. You should be able to find many examples of such scripts in the archives of the forum, even if you don't go back in time for more than two months.

Regards,

Victor
