Subj: | | Testing demo V2R6, want to spoil cache |
|
From: | | Maxwell, Donald |
I'm running Tdat demo V2R6 on XP (NTFS) and I want to compare full table scan (cpu & io) vs indexed access. I would like to be able to disable
and/or spoil any and all cache to ensure my tests are comparable. I've tried a diagnostic nocache but it doesn't seem to have any effect. Maybe
I'm not using it correctly. Do I have to be conerned about operating system and/or disk level caching? If so, is there anything I can do to
disable these also?
Please help.
