Probable Cause:
Due to some internal change made in the software at the releases listed under 'Configuration Data' section, the DBS MAY stop applying DPE internally following a DBS software upgrade, when doing DPE should still be applicable and appropriate.

Configuration Data:
If the upgrade is to any of the following releases, it is possible that the problem shows up after the upgrade.

     V2R.05.01.00.09 and above
     V2R.05.01.01.03 and above

If the upgrade is to V2R.05.00.0x releases then this problem will NOT be seen.

Solution:
Please contact your NCR site representative prior to the upgrade to check if the system is exposed to the problem or not. That person can also fix the problem after the upgrade.

If a site representative is not available, please contact the Global Support Center for evaluation.

The problem will be fixed by DR 88140 which is under testing as of this writing.
