Is there a way that I can trap an error message for an invoked Stored Procedure within BTEQ and take action upon it within the BTEQ script? For example, if in my example Stored Procedure "MY_SP" is invoked with MY_SP('D',5, ResultMsg); then ResultMsg will return 'Completed Successfully'. But, if it were to be invoked with MY_SP('X',5, ResultMsg); Then ResultMsg would return : 'Invalid period parameter : X'. I'd like to trap this within BTEQ and Abend the mainframe Job. Any ideas?
