Subj:   Reconfiguration and Database Space

We are preparing for a database Reconfiguration where additional nodes, amps, and clusters will be added. In researching preparation activities, I cannot find any mention that individual databases must have a certain percentage of freespace (maxperm minus currentperm) to prevent the redistribution process from failing due to "insufficient database space" on amps with skewed data (similar to what can happen when restoring into a larger system with more amps).

Am I to assume that Reconfiguration will handle this by automatically altering the maxperm amounts of the various databases as needed? (I am aware that a certain amount of freespace is needed on the total system for fallback rows, especially when changing clusters without adding amps, but this is not the case here.) Your help in understanding this will be appreciated.
