There are several ways to abort a request. 1) within the tool there is often a button to abort it. IN SQL assistant the execute button switches to an abort button 2) You can use PMON. The id used must have system rights to abort session. GRANT ABORTSESSION TO userid; 3) Use the console. I don't have time to tell you how to get into the console. 'Abort session' is the command. Type 'help abort session' to find the options. You may want to know the session_id which can be found in PMON. Thanks, Bob Diehl
