All, I have not read the whole thread so someone may have suggested this approach. Just run a show select * against the view. show select * from databasename.viewname; Replace databasename and viewname with appropriate values. A show select gives you the ddl for all objects and child objects needed to resolve the query. The resultant set is not that easy to use, but it will show all objects needed. Thanks, Bob Diehl
