A-Team "The only dumb question is the one that is not asked." Non-TPA nodes... How are these systems used? I understand that non-Trusted Parallel Application nodes are systems attached to the BYNET and are part of the Teradata system. This provides for higher throughput for the attached non-TPA node and can also be monitored by the Teradata system utilities such as Teradata Manager and such. These systems do not run the Teradata database software. Questions: How are non-TPA nodes used? Is there a performance gain in using non-TPA nodes? Are non-TPA nodes a good ETL direction? Recommendations on the use of non-TPA nodes??? What systems can be used as non-TPA nodes? Any help and direction is welcome. Chris Coffing
