This error message always (in my experience) means one thing. The database or user that the macro resides in does not have the acess right with grant option to the resource. In other words, if m1 is in database xyz, you would have to either grant select on DBC to xyz with grantion; or grant select on dbc.tabels to xyz with grant option. Glen
