According to ANSI (and it just makes sense) 'NEW YORK ' does not match '%YORK'. If using CHAR (perhaps VARCHAR would be more
appropriate in this instance?) each character counts. So I have found either trimming or using '%YORK%' to be the best alternative. Gotta
watch those CHARs, they can be a gotcha if not careful! LOL (And BTW, ANSI is not a votable concept as much as we would wish otherwise!) ;-
)
