It is.

I thought I'd remembered that COP entries couldn't be resolved in that manner--that is, that a fully qualified domain name like boxCOP1.domain.name was not useful to a utility which expected COP entries in /etc/hosts, but I'd be thrilled to find out that was wrong.

By the way, am I the only person who finds it odd that both DMTEQ and BTEQWIN, when run from profile BOX, require BOX in the logon string?

I'd think that a simple

.logon id


would work, but instead, they want

.logon BOX/id


Not a big deal, but I'd call it an oddity.
