The problem we have encountered is that while loading a specific table with a single table JI, we usually encounter User Sessions being blocked while loading that table. While we have benefitted from the JI as queries have significantly improved, we had to drop the Join Index before loading and then recreate it, which is not an ideal option.

Our users access that table through a view defined with Access Lock, but our Users get blocked when the Join Index in being updated in the Load process.

Is there an elegant way to stop dropping and recreating the Join Index? Wish we had something of an 'Access Lock' thing for Join Indexes too.
