I am using Teradata Type-4 JDBC Drivers. I am using TeraConnectionPoolDataSource for my connection pooling. The connections work fine for some time ( for few days). But when ever Teradata gets restarted. My application errors out with the below error.

[NCR] [Teradata JDBC Driver] : HY000 804 : I/O Error, Socket closed. Broken pipe

Can some one tell me what this error is and how I fix the problem.
