Subj:   Re: Using SQL server DTS and Teradata

From:   Arunachalam, Sankar

I have OLE DB Version 2.2. In the 'Selection' mode it brings up the 'title' under the Source and destination columns. Which need to be manually corrected before running the utility. Is there a way to get around this?

Thanks

Sankar

example:
==============

table definition:
====================
CREATE SET TABLE DBS.vendor ,NO FALLBACK ,
     NO BEFORE JOURNAL,
     NO AFTER JOURNAL
     (
      VendorId INTEGER TITLE 'Vendor ID' NOT NULL,
      VendorCode INTEGER TITLE 'Vendor Code',
      VendorName VARCHAR(25) CHARACTER SET LATIN NOT CASESPECIFIC TITLE = 'Vendor Name'
     )
UNIQUE PRIMARY INDEX VendorPIDX ( VendorId );

OLEDB FLOAD script
======================

.SET SESSION CHARSET "ASCII";
LOGON tdpid/userid,password ;
DATABASE dbs ;

CREATE TABLE "vendor" ( "Vendor ID" INTEGER NOT NULL, =
<<<<<<== uses the title instead of real column name
                        "Vendor Code" INTEGER ,
                        "Vendor Name" VARCHAR(25) CHARACTER SET LATIN ) =
;

BEGIN LOADING "vendor"
    ERRORFILES vendor_errors1, vendor_errors2
    INDICATORS ;
AXSMOD Oledb_Axsmod "noprompt";
DEFINE "Vendor ID"   (INTEGER),
       "Vendor Code" (INTEGER),
       "Vendor Name" (VARCHAR(25)) FILE=Untitled ;
INSERT INTO "vendor" ( "Vendor ID", "Vendor Code", "Vendor Name" )
    VALUES ( :"Vendor ID", :"Vendor Code", :"Vendor Name" ) ;
END LOADING ;
LOGOFF ;

Thanks for your help
