Guys

We are about to implement VLC on our Call History table which is 630 GB presently. We expect this to become 400 GB after implementing VLC. We will do an INSERT SELECT from the old table to the new table. It will get some of the benefits of the Optimised Insert Select (like Reduced Transient Journalling), though not all as perhaps the row size will differ.

Are there any timing estimates for this type of an INSERT SELECT operation or Best Practices from people who have already done this.
