Rick,
We had the same issue 2 months ago and opened an IR for it. NCR recommended us to drop the statistics to avoid the data redistribution
and spool space problem. We did not drop the statistics; instead, we added a new NUSI in Table A and join the new NUSI to Table B's UPI to
take care of the spool and redistribution issue. It worked fine.
