Your new table has been created with SQL Assistant tool ?

If yes could your verify by a show table the type of the Date column in your new table?

( if the 'allow use of ODBC SQL extensions in query' has been checked in the Tools menu + option box

==> Be careful the date type is in this case could be changed in integer type )
