Subj:   Dynamic Sql

From:   Harizanov, Ivan A

Dear All,

Can anyone help with Dynamic SQL. I am trying to create Stored Procedure that uses(call) DBC.SysExecSql and I 'm getting an error message SPL1078:E(L4), User is not authorized to use the DDL/DCL/Dynamic SQL statement.

Here is how the SQL looks..

DBC.SysExecSql ('insert into ' || :lv_rds_db || '.acct_dept_' || :lv_srce_syst_c || ' select * from '|| :lv_ad_db|| ' .acct_dept where ... ');

where the :lv_xxx are local variables/parameters we assign.

My question is:

* Where can I find "DBC.SysExecSql" , since it wasn't in DBC database?

* What level of access User Id requires to ensure user can call DBC.SysExecSql

Thanking you in advance for you help...
