There is an NCR CS service that uses a software extension to ARC, called NPARC. NP stands for named pipes, so it has been done. That process
runs on the UNIX TPA nodes and I don't know about using named pipes and MVS. There is an attachment in TDATA that contains a perl script to
manage a "named pipe" and use with Teradata load utilities (mload, tpump, not ARC specifically). So you may be able to use this script to
wrap around an ARC process in UNIX.
