Here's one possibility.....It looks like you are on a UNIX based environment and if so then you can use UNIX features like SED and/or AWK
to customize a single DDL file containing your table/column definitions for different uses and just use the run syntax in bteq to evoke the
complete, customized DDL script. I have used something like this for exactly the type of use you indicate.....
