Subj:   Re: Production OLE DB Jobs

From:   Robert D Meunier

Kristen,

You said it gave you an error UTY4019 when you ran it from MultiLoad, but then in the next sentence you said it ran fine in MultiLoad except for the prompt. I'm going to assume that you got it to run fine, but that you're getting a prompt you don't want.

When you create the AMJ you select a source. I don't know what source you are selecting. The only sources I've ever select involved using an ODBC driver (OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers) and this is what I had to do when using ODBC. When I selected a source it pops up a dialog box which asks you for the DSN/User/Password. I provide all the required information and check the box that says to "Allow saving password".

You'll also have to put in the NOPROMPT or BATCH initialization parameter (missing from your example) after the DLL name (example: OLEDB_AXSMOD.dll 'BATCH'). If you look in the Access Module Reference manual (Chapter 2: OLE DB Access Module, section "Initialization String") it'll describe the difference between NOPROMPT and BATCH.

The Access Module Reference refers to the DLL as OLEDB_ADSMOD.dll in at least one place. This isn't correct. Or at least it's not with any version that I've loaded.
