V2R5 has this new feature of an IDENTITY column - which could take in values provided by the user or generate the value. One could define
from what number the value should start, by what it should increment, max/min value ....etc. The numbers generated may not be sequential (1
followed by 2 followed by 3 ...) i.e. you would encounter gaps.
More information on this feature can be looked up from the V2R5 manuals.
