Mr. Van Gendt/NCR,

It would have been nice if your company had made the "new" feature, of single table catalog, have a parm of newcatalog OR if they had put a date in the table so that we could clean it up properly without having to massage other data.

Instead they forced an upgrade on us that may or may not have benefit. I now have to change MVS batch JCL in Production and Test if I want to continue to clean up this database/table and utilize this feature and I have to test this feature to see that it still works the way I expect it to.

New is not always good or better. What benefit do you derive/see from this single table configuration?
