We've obtained new 5350 systems to replace our older 5150 systems, and we planned to follow our standard procedure of using ARC to DUMP
on the old systems and RESTORE on the new. Simple, yes? Oh, no.
The old systems are running V2R4.1.3 and the new systems are running V2R5.0.1. ARC turns our to be remarkably fragile in the context of
simultaneous rehost-and-upgrade. We can't downgrade the new systems to V2R4 because of an artful hardware configuration choice by NCR.
Does anyone have any experiences to share (good or bad) in using ARC for V2R4 dump and subsequent V2R5 restore?
