Craig, I think the first thing I would suggest would be to re-route your output to a file so that you can see the results of the schmon command execution. Although the command may have "executed", it's entirely possible that the command failed somehow. I have found that, short of parsing through the request output, it's difficult to determine whether the schmon request executed successfully or incurred an error of some type. The next time the problem occurs, post the schmon output. Sorry this isn't more helpful. BTW, what version of Teradata are you on? Thomas F. Stanek
