Hi Friends, Recently we faced a problem with Teradata V2R4 (on Win 2K) wherein all the sockets on the machine were getting eaten up by a process called smonitrdsvc.exe. After this process was killed all the ports were freed and box functioned normally after that. Can anyone throw any light on what this process is used for on a Teradata server. It was originating from the location D:\PROGRA~1\NCR\CCL\bin\smonitrdSvc.exe. Although NCR knows about it. Can someone please throw some light on whether this is some kind of a known problem with this process...?? Any help/info will be appreciated. Rgds, Rohit
