Is there a recommendation that if ARCMAIN copies are running, then you should not run any other DDL - such as dropping and creating tables?

In PMON we see locks on DBC.TVFields and DBC.TVM between the ARCMAIN copies and the DDL jobs. Both types of jobs are getting 2631:Transaction ABORTed due to Deadlock.
