System is updating DBC.Indexes table when I do Stats on multiple columns even though there is no indexed field in my columns.

But if you run stats on one field, DBC.TVFIELDS get updated either the field is indexed or non-indexed.

My questions here is, Why system is updating DBC.indexes even though there is indexed field in my column list? why not DBC.tvfields?
