Hello all,

I have just joined the list.

I am designing a GIS (Geographic Information System) for a organization in which Teradata is the corporate database. So my GIS has to connect to Teradata. I don't know how Teradata works, but I know that it's quick and that I can connect using Teradata ODBC drivers, and that's enough for my GIS (ESRI's ArcGIS).

I was wondering if this can be as fast as Teradata is, or if I will find performance problems accesing large amounts of data using ODBC.

Any suggestion would be appreciated.
