Thank you for your response

I have tried to get the Teradata service running in may ways. I have tried it from the command line, from the windows services control program, and from the demo server control program. I have also tried to make the service auto start. The service starts up and then shuts itself down.

I hope this gives everyone more info and might lead to a solution
