When you say "the machine is blocked" how do you diagnose that, through PMON, UNIX services like PUMA or other GSC tools, or? And the
"... access logs ..." , if that is DBC.ACCESSLOG how often are you administering that table (purging)? The NUPI of the underlying DBC
table can cause inefficiencies based on how often active sessions logon-off. Also if most of your queries are doing CT... then there are
system tables overhead with accessrights,etc.
