Hi all, Recently we faced a problem in our Teradata servers wherein we were getting the error "207:Network Connection Failed. Check the I.P address", while trying to connect from PMON to the database. Also similar messages (though not the same). The strange part is that we were getting this error only from the machine on which Teradata was installed so obviously it was not a network problem but more of a connectivity problem with the database. Now, after investigation and getting in touch with NCR support it was found that there were too many sessions active on the database server and that is why the PMON, Queryman, etc tools were not being allowed connection to the database. One particular thing was that there were many connections originating from port 1120 on the server. Does anybody have any idea what port 1120 is used for on a Win2K box...?? Hopefully the question is well received...!! Any help/info appreciated.. Rgds, Rohit
