Tony, Some of this has been mentioned in other answers, but... -- the TDP exits are only for mainframe access. -- there is now a CLI exit available for lan based jobs which access Teradata via CLI (e.g. bteq, multiload etc, a few third part tools etc) but you have to write the exit code yourself and the exit will need to be installed on every client that needs oto uset his feature, -- there is NO equivalent for ODBC applications, unless... -- you have the Teradata DBMS running under Windows (not mp-ras) in which case you can use Single-Sign On (SSO). In Teradata v2r4, the password controls apply to all users on the box, with v2r5 you can set the password controls at the profile level, hence allowing a finer granularity of control. Cheers, Dave
