Yes, but does that ever really happen? At my installation, there is talk every year or two about replacing Teradata with IBM UDB,
but then people start thinking about the costs of changing all our fastload scripts, multiload scripts, bteq scripts, JCL, ad hoc SQL, SAS,
etc., and groans are heard throughout the land.
