Aw heck, Todd. I thought NCR addressed the FROM/WHERE differences in V2R3. Your comments would explain, though, why some of the
unstable queries I've debugged run with INNER JOIN syntax but not with WHERE clause.
As author of the posted code now flagged as questionable, I now have the right (nay, duty) to ask where this optimizer behavioral
difference is described in the NCR documentation. And I don't mean a passing reference to 'occasional differences in generated join plans',
I mean *details*.
Eagerly awaiting your response as I contemplate massive rewrites... :(
