Slavik,

Not sure I fully understand your situation here. If your load job fails (I'm assuming that you're referring to loading a journal archive up to Teradata), then why would you want to drop the active journal portion at that time? I'd imagine that restarting the journal load to successfully complete the load process would be the way forward, then rolling the restored journal to the relevant target tables as normal. Bear in mind that the journal comprises a saved, restored and active 'partition'.
