THANKS FOR YOUR HELP. I THIS CASE IT WASN'T THE $PATH THAT WAS WRONG. ALTHOUGH IT LOOKS WRONG AND YOU ARE ON THE RIGHT TRACK. THE
PROBLEM STEMS FROM THE FACT THAT THE LOGON USER DOES NOT OWN HIS OWN PROFILE. SO WHEN YOU LOGON YOUR NOT EXECUTING THE PROFILE YOU THINK YOU
ARE. THAT'S WHY ALL THE PATHS IN YOUR PROFILE WHILE THEY WERE SET UP CORRECTLY THEY DID NOTHING TO POINT YOU INTO THE CORRECT DIR'S FOR THE
CORRECT SCRIPTS, AND GLOBAL VARIABLES. THIS MIGHT HAVE BEEN CAUSED WHEN MY USERS WHERE SET UP VIA A CPIO COMMAND USING DATA FROM ANOTHER
SYSTEM. WHAT I HAD TO DO WAS A "CHOWN -R" AND THEN IT WORKED FINE.
THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP
